Town Meeting Wraps Up for the Year

On Monday, April 24, Town Meeting convened to start tackling this year’s agenda of pressing business for Arlington. As always, ACMi was there to provide live coverage of the opening session, as we will every Monday and Wednesday evening until Town Meeting concludes. Arlington Election Results

Unofficial results are in from Arlington’s Annual Town Election held Saturday, April 1st.  The lack of major uncontested races meant low turn-out. According to town clerk, Stephanie Lucarelli just under 9 percent of 30-thousand registered voters cast ballots during the snowy day.  That’s down from 15 percent from last years annual town election when there were contests for the Board of Selectman and School Committee. Two precincts saw hotly contested races for town meeting members, precinct 7 in East Arlington and  precinct 15 in the Stratton School neighborhood. League of Women Voters Candidate’s Night 2017 LIVE

Arlington Community Media, Inc. will be covering the upcoming Candidate’s Night held at Arlington Town Hall by the League of Women Voters LIVE on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 at 8pm. In advance of Town Elections coming up on April 1, the League of Women Voters chapter in Arlington once again welcomes all those vying for office to their annual Candidates’ Night. ACMi will carry this important event LIVE and will also air it on our Public channel between now and the election. Between this and ACMi’s own Candidate Profiles, you will have all the data you need to make a well-informed decision on Election Day. Find out what you want to know, and don’t forget to vote on April 1! Candidates Night provides the community with an opportunity to learn about the candidates’ qualifications, their character, and their strengths and weaknesses. Town Meeting candidates available from 7:30 to 8 pm; the candidates’ forum starts at 8. Each candidate will present a 2-minute opening speech.
