I am a sophomore at Emerson College and I am from Sao Paulo, Brazil. I spend most of my weekends on set at Emerson, working as a Production Designer/Art Director/Makeup Artist. As an ACMi intern I hope to broaden my knowledge in the Adobe Creative Suites, as well as doing some camera work and helping with set building for different shows and productions.
Chris DeBenedictis was a News Producer at Arlington Public News starting in August 2013. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a B.A. in Communications. His love for television production has grown immensely since working at ACMi, and he has grown that passion to film reviews.
My name is Danny Bianchi and I am the Graphic Design intern for ACMI in the summer of 2017! As an Arlington resident, ACMI seems like the perfect fit for myself this summer, and I hope to help bring amazing content to the Arlington Community.
With an associates degree in Graphic Design, I am planning on using those skills to create unique ads, posters, and the like for ACMI.
My name is Emily Baker, and I'm a rising junior at Tufts University, majoring in sociology. As an ACMi production intern, I'm looking forward to supplementing my interest in television writing and production by further developing my technical camera and editing skills. My plan is to produce segments for Arlington Public News, as well as to work on personal comedy projects.
My name is Jacob Ballin. As an Arlington resident and former ACMi member, I am excited to return to ACMi as a summer intern. My lifelong interest in photography and love for technology has recently led me to explore opportunities in filmmaking and TV production. I am currently attending Champlain College as a filmmaking major, but am hoping to learn more about TV production through interning at ACMi. I am proud to be a part of a team that shares a passion for video production and communication with the Arlington community.
My name is Katlyn Kreie and I am a rising junior at Tufts University majoring in Film and Media Studies. This summer as an ACMI intern, I hope to learn more about television news and produce some of my own news stories for Arlington, as well as learning more about studio production.
My name is Kayla Chiara. Being a lifelong Arlington resident, I am happy to contribute to the community in a way that allows me to be a storyteller. My intrinsic love for film and art has led to my interest in all aspects of video production. I enjoy being heavily involved in the creative and formative process as I aspire to become an actor, screenwriter, and artistic director. I am currently a Communications major at UMass Boston, with a minor in Cinema Studies. I am grateful to be at ACMi and find new ways to challenge myself through different mediums and storytelling methods.
Meg is this Spring's Public Affairs intern. She will be graduating from Tufts in May with a double degree in Film & Media Studies and English and a minor in Italian. She is especially excited to dive into production of ACMi's Criminal Justice and Talk of the Town series, and hopes to add an arts perspective to ACMi by scoping out the creative niches in town. This Spring you can find her looking for her dream dog at the local animal shelter, teaching herself how to make craft cocktails, or working on her latest short film.
Miguel Nascimento, graduate of Arlington High School, heading to Hofstra University in the fall to study Film, Video & TV Production. I first caught the film bug at Phillips Academy after joining the Film Club and being cast in their feature length film due to come out this fall. It is my goal to be a Film actor and I have so far been cast in one feature film: Slender Man (2018) and one short film: Sunlit (2018). My backup plan it to work in the Film industry in any capacity available. As an intern at AMCi I am learning all aspects of TV program production including, editing, filming, camera work, audio control, lighting setup, and stage set up. It has been a great experience and the staff are very supportive.
I’m Mitchell McLeod from Bozeman, Montana. I am a rising junior studying advertising and marketing at Boston University. Outside of school, I am the vice-president of my fraternity, Zeta Beta Tau, and I am also a part of our on-campus sexual assault prevention organization, 16,000 Strong. In my free time, I enjoy reading, exercise, and hiking. I am also an ardent writer, be it poetry, screenplays, or fiction. While here over the summer, I will be a news intern with a concentration on sports. I have always been interested in journalism and I am an avid sports fan, so I am thankful that ACMi provides me an opportunity to combine these two facets of my life while gaining invaluable professional experience.
Sebastean Gonzalez-Johnson is a senior at Tufts University studying Film & Media and Entrepreneurship. Although Sebastean enjoys camera work and post-production, being an on-screen personality aligns more with his ambitions. Using the skills he's acquired at ACMi as a complement to his business background, Sebastean's ultimate goal is to develop his own media agency that would allow him to create marketing and advertising campaigns for clients while having the ability to produce content.
