ALICE: Alert; Lockdown; Inform; Counter and Evacuate

ALICE, which stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter & Evacuate, is the latest safety protocol that all Arlington Public School’s will be implementing. In anticipation of the public information session that will take place in Lowe Auditorium at Arlington High School on Monday, April 6, at 7 pm, APN convened a panel of stakeholders to discuss the ALICE program in depth.

Arlington School Superintendent Kathleen Bodie, School Resource Officer Steve Porciello, and APS Court Liaison Cindy Sheridan Curran sat down in our studio to describe various aspects of the new protocol, from why Arlington chose it to the roles of teachers, students, and parents/guardians in the program.
