Verizon Bill Set for Wednesday May 18

Senate Bill 1687, also known as the Verizon Bill, will have a hearing at the Statehouse, Wednesday, May 18th at 10:00 AM. Massachusetts Public-Educational-Government Access TV Centers are spreading the word. Read more.

You can ask your Selectmen/City Council to make a proclamation opposing the Bill and contact your State Legislators to go over the talking points with them. You may send the MassAccess Press Release to your local news outlets.

MassAccess is the current name of The Massachusetts Chapter of the Alliance for Community Media. Its purpose is to inform its members about cable refranchising, copyright issues, community access startups, and production workshops. It also monitors legislation at the state level to make sure that cable access remains a viable and healthy entity in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
