I'm a senior at Framingham State University, majoring in Communication Arts with a concentration in Integrated Visual Media. Before attending FSU, I earned my Associates Degree from Middlesex Community College. Through my school studies, I've learned a lot about making films; I even wrote, produced, and edited a short film that was screened at Boson's 2019 Independent Film Festival Student Showcase. I'm excited to expand my knowledge of media production by learning the ins and outs of TV broadcasting during my internship with ACMi. After graduation, I plan to work in the TV industry and hopefully make my way into the film industry.
I'm Alex Klein, currently a rising junior at Hampshire College, where I'm studying various modes of storytelling. I hope to learn more about film, film techniques, and how they can impact a story through my internship at ACMi. I'm originally from Arlington, and I'm enjoying this chance to become more invested in town affairs and learn more about my community. I look forward to working with you!
I’m Austin Clementi, a rising junior at Tufts University, English and sociology major, and future executive news editor at The Tufts Daily (tuftsdaily.com, please click on this we need money although I doubt they’ll let me keep it). I’m originally from Pueblo, Colorado, but my parents have moved around a lot so Medford/Somerville is really my home. I am excited to be a news intern for the summer at ACMi!
I am a sophomore at Emerson College and I am from Sao Paulo, Brazil. I spend most of my weekends on set at Emerson, working as a Production Designer/Art Director/Makeup Artist. As an ACMi intern I hope to broaden my knowledge in the Adobe Creative Suites, as well as doing some camera work and helping with set building for different shows and productions.
Chris DeBenedictis was a News Producer at Arlington Public News starting in August 2013. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a B.A. in Communications. His love for television production has grown immensely since working at ACMi, and he has grown that passion to film reviews.
My name is Emily Baker, and I'm a rising junior at Tufts University, majoring in sociology. As an ACMi production intern, I'm looking forward to supplementing my interest in television writing and production by further developing my technical camera and editing skills. My plan is to produce segments for Arlington Public News, as well as to work on personal comedy projects.
Hi! My name is Kayla Avitabile. I am a rising Sophomore at Tufts University and plan on double majoring in American Studies and Film and Media Studies. I am Head of Music programming for TUTV (Tufts University Television), a writer for Melisma Music Magazine, and a DJ for the show, Black Stripes or White Keys? on 91.5 WMFO. I grew up in New Jersey before coming to the Medford/Somerville area, and am really excited to stay here this summer to work for ACMi. In my free time, I perform as a singer-songwriter and enjoy watching cheesy movies (with snacks of course).
Hey everyone, I'm Lawrence Xu! I'm from Beijing, China and currently study in Tufts University. I absolutely love watching movies, playing games, and fictional writing. If I had to choose a favorite film, it would be Spirited Away. Though, La La Land is not far from it. I've come to ACMi to learn everything I can about production and filmmaking. And so far, the experience has already exceeded beyond my expectations!
Sebastean Gonzalez-Johnson is a senior at Tufts University studying Film & Media and Entrepreneurship. Although Sebastean enjoys camera work and post-production, being an on-screen personality aligns more with his ambitions. Using the skills he's acquired at ACMi as a complement to his business background, Sebastean's ultimate goal is to develop his own media agency that would allow him to create marketing and advertising campaigns for clients while having the ability to produce content.
