Robbins Library held An Afternoon with Janet Singer Applefield on March 15. Miss Applefield is a child survivor of the Holocaust, and she shared her stories of living in Poland during the chaos of World War II. The event was a part of Arlington Reads Together, a community-wide read that celebrates and discusses the challenging themes in Marcus Zukas’s novel The Book Thief.
