Arlington leaders are busy resurrecting a Revolutionary War battlefield that, if you live in Arlington, you are likely passing everyday!

Thousands of patriots and redcoats met at Arlington’s Foot of the Rocks at what is now the corner of Mass Ave. and Lowell street on April 19, 1775 the same day as the battles at Lexington and Concord.

This Community Preservation Act funded project is already underway and officials are considering ways to improve this thin piece of land. A public input session was held on April 14th that provided historical context, existing conditions, timelines, and concepts for the site so that future generations know the bloodiest battle on day one of our revolution took place right here in Arlington.

ACMi news caught up with local history buff Al Tosti who is doing what he can to tell this incredible story.
