For this year’s Fox Festival, we are inviting everyone in Arlington and beyond to take our two small paper puppets — Fox and Owl — on a big adventure! Contribute your story to our FOX & OWL TINY FILM & PHOTO FESTIVAL by making a short video or taking a few photos of Fox and Owl “in action”. Make art for your window with Fox and Owl, and send a message to your neighbors; send us a photo and we’ll include your window art in this multimedia showcase!
Everything you need is at https://www.ArtsArlington.org/FoxandOwl, including the downloadable puppets, designed by artist Kari Percival, video interviews about our animal neighbors with Diane Welch (Arlington’s Animal Control Officer), sample movies, and a How-To Video with artist Sara Peattie showing you how to turn a cardboard box into a Tiny Theater. By using a tiny theater, you can take Fox and Owl anywhere you can imagine! Or you can use a spot in your house or yard for live action.
Send in your videos and photos by JULY 15 via email to: FoxandOwlArlington@gmail.com; if the file is too big use We Transfer to email a link (it’s free and you don’t have to register). Or post to Facebook and Instagram with @ArtsArlington and #FoxFestivalArlington and #FoxandOwlArlington.
We will put together everyone’s photos and short videos (1 minute or less) to make up the Epic Adventures of Fox and Owl. Help ArtsArlington and the Fox Library make this year’s version of the Fox Festival a wonderful tribute to our neighborhood libraries, creativity and imagination, local wildlife, and community spirit!
