Waste Not, Want Not

For the past six months, strange and colorful sculptures have been hanging from the trees along the Minuteman Bike Path. They are part of the Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture’s public art installation called “Persistence,” created by artist-in-residence, Michelle Lougee.

Reducing single-use plastic waste is the message here. The ACAC wants to complement the project with a virtual event with Michelle and two other guests discussing their own approaches to plastic waste. Waste Not, Want Not is what they’re calling it.
