ACMi Welcomes a New Outreach Coordinator

IMG_3943_2Arlington resident James Milan has joined ACMi as its new Community Outreach Coordinator. In that position, he will welcome new members and introduce them to the full scope of technical and creative opportunities available through the studio. He will also be reinforcing the strong connections ACMi enjoys with Arlington’s education, business, and government sectors, seeking new ways to extend the studio’s support of these vital local institutions.

James recently completed a 23-year career as a high school teacher and began exploring interests he had long deferred. “As a long-time Arlington resident, I was already a member and supporter of ACMi, and I began volunteering regularly at the station in the summer of 2013. Through this process, I experienced first-hand the remarkable combination of professional expertise and warm support the staff offer to one and all. The quality of programming and the commitment of ACMi members are also inspiring. I am truly excited about the opportunity I will have as the outreach coordinator to share with my fellow Arlingtonians – residents and businesses alike – the amazing resource ACMi provides to our community. I want to share what we’re doing with as many folks as possible.”
