Over the years, ACMi has garnered a number of Hometown Media Awards, which are granted annually across a range of subject areas. Most notably, ACMi News was recognized as the top Community News Program in the country for 2022 and 2023. Most notably, that is, until now: ACMi has just been named the best community access station for our size in the nation! We are profoundly grateful to have received this recognition from the Alliance for Community Media (ACM), an organization that includes over 2,000 community media centers across the country. It’s a great privilege to share this wonderful news with our community, and now we have yet another standard of excellence that we will do our very best to uphold!
We are thrilled to share that we have recently been recognized as the 2025 Best Overall Community Media Station of our size in the country! Our winning video, which you can watch on our main YouTube channel, captures what we got up to throughout the year, including youth activities, government meetings, member productions, news stories, and public affairs content. We hope you enjoy it as much as the judges did, and invite you to share this good news with other proud Arlingtonians!
We want to share this honor with the community we serve – the school department whose sports, activities, and performances we cover; the local nonprofits we constantly collaborate with to amplify their impact; the eager residents who contribute their energy and creativity to a host of original productions; the local officials who share our deep commitment to government transparency; and of course our devoted audience of engaged neighbors.
