Fido Fest is Greater Bostonā€™s only video festival that celebrates lovable dogs and their loyal humans. All are welcome to submit homemade videos of your hard working, funny, and quirky dogs.Ā Ā On Saturday, August 3rd, join your friends and family to watch your blockbuster videos outside on the big screen while munching on popcorn and enjoying a night under the stars.

Send in your videos, from a few seconds to 5 minutes. String together pics of your pup and send them in. Share with your neighbors what makes your pups the apple of your iPhone. You can submit a YouTube link atĀ http://acmi.tv/fidosubmit/.Ā Ā To email a video file, send it to fidofest@gmail.com.

Fido Fest was born in Arlington Massachusetts by a group of volunteers from Ā A-Dog (Arlington Dog Owners Group) and ACMi(Arlington Community Media, Inc.) (nonprofit organizations) who believe all dogs are stars and deserve a chance to shine.

The best part? Itā€™s all Free! Our wonderful local sponsors made this event possible. Ā There are no tickets so itā€™s a first come first serve. There are concrete stadium seating but feel free to bring a lawn chair or spread a blanket but please leave umbrellas or tents that may block the view at home.

Grab your smartphone or camcorder and capture your pupā€™s unique personality and submit them to the festival!

Yes, all well-behaved humans and canines are welcome. Ā 

Pups must be leashed, no retractable leashes please. Ā Remember it will be dark after the video so bring a flashlight!
Step 1. Shoot your video

Use your smartphone to capture your dogā€™s funny, poignant, staged or spontaneous performance. Ā Your video can tell a story up to 2 minutes or show your pup doing a funny sneeze for 30 seconds.

Step 2. Upload your video to YouTube

Log into YouTube using your Gmail account and upload your video. Ā

Remember if you are adding tunes to your video, use license free music or obtain a release for use of music from the license holder. Ā Fido Fest does reserve the right to trim a spontaneous video for time if it doesnā€™t disrupt the intended mission of the video.

We assume the pups (as well as other pets) give their implied consent until we can communicate directly with them. Ā 
Yes, but know that there will be many dogs there expecting you to share. Popcorn will be available for a requested donation.
There will be two portable toilets for humans (one is accessible). Ā Please be considerate and clean up after your pup, we know better than to limit the areas where the pups do their business.
Yes. The film festival and dog show will be held on a grassy, but flat field. There will be a accessible portable toilet available as well.

Yes. The rain date is Sunday, August 4th.
