Arlington’s police department responds to a civil rights lawsuit filed late this week alleging a racial profiling incident which occurred February 2021.
The group “Lawyers for Civil Rights,” or LCR, filed the lawsuit on behalf of 20 year old Donavon Johnson of Somerville. The lawsuit says officers stopped Johnson, who’s African-American, and arrested him even though he had nothing to do with a police call which had authorities looking for a white suspect.
