COVID Cases on the Rise

COVID-19 cases are rising throughout the nation and here in Massachusetts as the Delta variant becomes ever more concerning for health officials. Citing the high vaccination rates within the state, the Baker administration has opted not to change mask guidance and COVID guidelines at this time. Arlington, however, is taking a stricter approach, with new guidelines and a new mandate. Senior News Producer Anim Osmani takes a look at how Arlington is faring in comparison to the rest of the Commonwealth and the country.

In addition to the mask mandate, restaurant and live venue patrons are required to have masks on at all times except in the act of eating or drinking. In all other indoor public settings, masks must be worn. A business may decline any customer who refuses to wear a mask.
