Wicked Weather

Heavy rains and high winds struck Massachusetts hard this week. The north and south shores got hit the worst. Cape Cod was slammed hard with this “end of the month” nor’easter as well. At the peak of the storm nearly five hundred thousand homes were without power.

Arlington was not hit as bad as those areas. But that doesn’t mean the town got away scot-free either. Flooding closed part of Mystic Valley Parkway on Tuesday and Wednesday. That has since reopened. Town leaders say public works, police, and fire crews continue to clear the streets of excess leaves and tree limbs for the next several days.
