Justice in the Balance

ACMi Goes to Jail. It’s not every day that the viewing public has a chance to see the inside of a county jail, which we bring you in this visit to the Middlesex County House of Correction. We speak to Sheriff Peter Koutoujian about the innovative programs and progressive reforms he has introduced, drawing both national and international attention. We also visit two of the specially designed units there, and talk with a resident of the unit that is designated exclusively for military veterans. It’s a rare glimpse inside the walls and beyond the barbed wire fences of our county jail.
