Alewife Station. Alewife Brook. The name Alewife pops up all over Arlington. But did you know, that an Alewife is a fish? Right now more than sixty thousand of them are making their annual migration from the ocean waters around Boston up the Mystic River and into the Mystic Lakes. The Mystic Watershed Association has been supporting their run for years, and increased numbers mean their work is paying off.
