The Sri Chinmoy Peace Run is a global relay that promotes international friendship, understanding and peace. A team of international runners from more than 100 countries carry a torch symbolizing friendship and harmony. On Monday, August 11th, the team ran into Arlington on their way to Boston. During their visit they shared thoughts about peace and presented the Torchbearer Award, a recognition given to remarkable people who have inspired their communities by selflessly bettering the lives of others.
