For the homeless, the cold winter months are unrelenting. Those people on the margins of society are faced with the daily challenge of simply surviving a cold winter night.
It’s no secret the Route 2 bridge in Arlington near the Alewife station has provided a shelter for homeless people in this area, but the so-called solution to maintaining public safety and addressing the sensitive issue of homelessness has pitted the town of Arlington against state transportation officials.
