The Baltimore Blitz

Upton Bell was the general manager for the New England Patriots in the early 1970’s. His father was commissioner of the NFL for more than 10 years. His mother was a famous Broadway actress and star of Hollywood as talkies nudged silent films out of existence. For Upton to get his job as general manager for the Pats, he had to prove his mettle with a Super Bowl championship football team from Baltimore.

This story takes place in an era chock-full of NFL legends, JFK, Hollywood big shots, tawdry affairs, alleged murders, and insatiable greed. It was an extraordinary window of time where Upton Bell found himself growing up quickly.
