Great Expectations


It comes as no surprise that Robbins Library at first struggled like the rest of us to navigate through this pandemic. The library shut down in the first COVID wave nearly two years ago and as a result, circulation dipped slightly.

That’s when library leaders got creative and built a new website, kept members updated on upcoming events, and of course got books like “Beowulf,” “Dracula” and “Don Quixote” into the hands of area readers.

ACMi News talked to Andrea Nicolay, Arlington’s Director of Libraries, about the impressive amount of progress made thus far and her plans for 2022.
