The United States has only 5% of the world’s population, but it has nearly 25% of its prisoners. Roughly two million people incarcerated. And the Bureau of Justice Statistics says out of that two million, nearly 10% are U.S. veterans who served their country only to fall thru the cracks.
But one area lock-up is employing entirely new techniques that are serving as models for prisons, not only in America but around the world.
