Arlington’s police force prides itself in setting the standard for other law enforcement agencies nationwide. Its progressive approach is driven by community values, transparency, and restorative justice.
That mission was put to the test last fall when one of it’s most prominent police officers Lieutenant Richard Pedrini was placed on administrative leave after he made some incendiary comments in a police advocacy groups newsletter.
As Jeff Barnd reports, town leaders announced Pedrini himself will now be on the receiving end of that restorative justice standard.
