Bus Rapid Transit Pilot Rollout

The town of Arlington aims to put more rush into the rush-hour with its Bus Rapid Transit Pilot, or BRT, a program aimed at improving bus travel time and traffic flow along Massachusetts Avenue.

The program was rolled out earlier this month, but town leaders, officials from Cambridge, Boston’s Barr Foundation and the MBTA celebrated along the proposed bus lane this week.

APN’s Stephanie Wittenbach says if the pilot works out, bus riders just may get to their destinations with time to spare in the very near future.
