Dr. Richardson is a lauded historian of American history and the author of the bestseller: How the South Won the Civil War. She also writes an increasingly popular daily newsletter called “Letters from an American,” for which the New York Times recently called her the “most successful independent journalist in America.” On top of all that, Dr. Richardson is a professor of History at Boston College.
