This week, Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey, and several lawmakers on Capitol Hill, reintroduced the “Protecting Community Television Act” legislation to ensure community television operations like ACMi continue to receive the resources they need to inform viewers in communities where they operate.
ACMi’s news director Jeff Barnd interviewed Senator Markey when he first introduced the measure two years ago during the Trump years. The senator says given the ongoing pandemic, this act is needed now more than ever.
