Memorial Day is upon us and although we are all looking forward to the warm weather and cook-outs it’s a time to honor fallen members of the U.S. Military.
There are close to 5,500 military veterans buried here in Arlington at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In the past, the Veterans Services Council spent most of May locating and placing flags on those graves, but a new technology has simplified that process allowing volunteers to come together to honor those killed while serving in just a couple of weekends.
