Later School Start Times

Do you push your teen to go to bed, then drag them out of bed in the morning? It’s not them, it’s not you. It’s science.

Research shows wake and sleep cycles, known as circadian rhythms shift forward in teenagers making it hard to go to bed early and wake up early.
School systems are taking the research seriously. Districts in the Middlesex Athletic League are working together to implement new schedules in the fall. APN reporter Hannah Schuster takes us through the science and the changes coming to local school districts.
