The Arlington Police Department recently welcomed five new police officers to its ranks. The new officers are all Arlington residents and took their “Oath of Office” on July 22, after attending and completing training at the Police Academy in Quincy. Back in Arlington, the new officers took part in an additional 12-week training program that focused on Arlington-specific issues with a heavy concentration on Community Policing and Problem Solving.
