Arlington lost one of its favorite sons last month. Walter Scott passed away on December 28th at the age of 84.
Scott was the broadcasting voice for so many things hockey throughout New England. He worked at WBUR where he called hockey games for Boston University. You could also hear Scott on WBZ radio, broadcasting the Beanpot tournament and he had been the voice of the New England Whalers of the former World Hockey Association.
As you may already know ACMi was lucky to have Scott on our air calling hockey match-ups for the Spy Ponders of Arlington High.
Now a special thank you from all of us at here ACMi to a rabid New England sports fan, a true professional, our amiable colleague, and dear friend.
