Singer-songwriter Johnny Gray is an Arlington resident who has played in bands and as a solo act in and around the Boston area since the 90s. He strives to combine thoughtful, accessible lyrics applied to a wide range of musical styles with concise pop sensibilities. He is very excited about this latest, pared down acoustic project.
Originaly from Gloucester, Ma, Bassist Dave Hanlon is an accomplished woodworker and lutherie who currently makes his home in Melrose from where he runs his custom guitar shop, Electric Trees, and teaches private music lessons for all levels. He is also an accomplished, natural musician who has played in various bands in the Boston area for close to 20 years.
Young hotshot violinist Nathaniel Diamond Jones lends his considerable talents to round out the act.
A traditional music enthusiast, and an expert on several instruments, he has toured the country and Europe as part of a traditional music and dance troup. He has shared the stage with nationally known rock acts. Besides the Johnny Gray band, he is an active member of the band As the Sparrow as well as heading his own solo project.
