There’s been a rising number of phone calls to Arlington’s police department concerning recent coyote sightings. According to police, roughly a dozen calls every day.
Arlington’s animal control officer Diane Welch was joined by John Maguranis, an expert from Project Coyote. ACMi’s Jeff Barnd met Maguranis and Welch in an area where some coyotes live just a few hundred yards from civilization.
Even though, at one time, coyotes were foreign to these parts. That’s now history. And like it or not, it appears coyotes like it here. And they’re here to stay.
