ACMi Highlights of the Week – June 4

ACMi to Provide LIVE coverage of Election results

On Tuesday, June 11, voters will choose whether to approve a debt exclusion to rebuild Arlington High School, as well as an override to address our town budget’s structural deficit. There is a lot of money at stake, so it’s no surprise that Arlington residents are highly engaged. As we do with all elections of significance, ACMi will provide LIVE coverage of the results that evening, starting at 8 pm, on both the Public and Government channels. Don’t forget to vote!

PRO and CON arguments on each ballot question

For those seeking all the information they need to make a considered choice on June 11th, ACMi presents a series of moderated conversations in which advocates flesh out their arguments either FOR or AGAINST the debt exclusion and override. We have packaged the PRO and CON perspectives on each question as a single 90-minute block, allowing viewers to examine all facets of each issue in one viewing. These conversations air daily on our Public channel leading up to the vote.

Arlington High School Graduation is in the books

The 2019 Arlington High School Graduation took place on Saturday, June 1, and as always ACMi’s cameras were there to capture the proceedings in their entirety. Happily, the weather gods cooperated (not always the case, as we all know), and it was a lovely backdrop to an event that always stirs emotion. We will re-air the ceremony regularly over the coming weeks.

A Spoonful of Sugar, Ottoson Style!

Ottoson Middle School’s big theatrical production this year is the all-time classic Mary Poppins, and it is a feast for both the eyes and the ears! Ottoson plays are among the most popular events we cover, according to the numbers on our YouTube page, and there is every reason to believe that this year’s production will stand tall alongside triumphs of the past. See it for yourself on our Education channel, all week long.
