Unofficial results are in from Arlington’s Annual Town Election held Saturday, April 1st.  The lack of major uncontested races meant low turn-out. According to town clerk, Stephanie Lucarelli just under 9 percent of 30-thousand registered voters cast ballots during the snowy day.  That’s down from 15 percent from last years annual town election when there were contests for the Board of Selectman and School Committee.

Two precincts saw hotly contested races for town meeting members, precinct 7 in East Arlington and precinct 15 in the Stratton School neighborhood. Three incumbents in that district were voted out of their seats. Precinct 20 only saw three candidates for four seats, the write-ins will be counted and determine a winner. Precinct 2 saw a tie for the fourth seat. All results are preliminary and must be verified.
