The Patriots’ Day parade brought out a lot of people from the community including one who, if not the oldest, is certainly one of the oldest.. We spotted 96 year-old Tony Barrie being serenaded by his namesake musical group – The Tony Barrie Band. Tony comes from his home in Saugus every year to see the band, which has participated in the parade since the 1950’s. He no longer performs with them, but still gains inspiration from the music and the parade that celebrates America’s fight for independence.
