Town officials and residents say they still don’t have enough information about the proposed Mugar housing project, even after a special Board of Selectmen public meeting on Thursday, August 12th with the project’s developers. Oaktree Development is proposing a 219-unit housing development on the open land near Thorndike Field and Route Two. As a 40b affordable housing development, the developers can bypass certain town bylaws, but opposition to the project remains widespread, including among town officials. APN was at the meeting and has this report.
