If you have continued to read our blog posts, then you have met Vivien! For those of you who don’t know, Vivien Tang is the founder of the Cancer Patients & Survivors Project 2023 (CPSP2023) and has worked with Arlington Community Media (ACMi) for the past few months to share her story, her message, as well as advice and tips to help improve the lives of cancer patients.
ACMi, Vivien and the Down Under School of Yoga have worked together to create and produce a series called Healing Together. This series provides a positive and calming environment allowing cancer patients to focus on their recovery process at their own pace. While hearing the word ‘yoga’ may seem strenuous, not to worry—Healing Together is built on the technique of breathwork, making it easier to perform in stationary positions.
Vivien offers many resources through her website, CPSP2023, that can immerse cancer patients in a community that is not only supportive but also understands the intense process of recovery. Healing Together is composed of four videos, with a new video released each week, prioritizing different ways to cater to particular aspects of healing.
Vivien is dedicated to helping cancer patients find ways to improve their symptoms. CPSP2023 provides a variety of ways to uplift cancer patients throughout their journeys, such as meal recipes and cancer-related news. Vivien’s future goals include providing “buddies” to help battle the recovery process, supplying kitchen appliances, and much more.
